On Thursday, August 17th, our friends at ANCA-Glendale announced a stunning victory for social justice. In the early hours of the 17th Caruso Affiliated finally responded to the campaign organized by ANCA-Glendale in a letter to the organization. The official statement condemned “violence and atrocities of any form anywhere in the world, including the Armenian Genocide”. Caruso Affiliated also stated that they would work with the producers of “Architects of Denial” and the City of Glendale to provide billboard space to advertise the upcoming documentary at the Americana at Brand, at no cost to the producers.
We at the American Hellenic Council would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our supporters that participated in this recent action alert. It is because of you taking the time to contact Caruso Affiliated and express your disapproval of their original decision to reject billboard space for this important documentary that we have helped achieve this important victory.
As fellow victims of the 1915 Genocide, we must stand united in the common cause for justice and recognition, whether it is for Armenians, Assyrians, or Greeks. Today, our ancestors smile down upon us, proud of all of us that took the time to do the right thing. On behalf of the Board of Directors of AHC, thank you!
